2023 Fantasy Outlook
Under normal circumstances, Tune would ride the bench to begin his NFL career as a fifth-round rookie quarterback. However, the QB situation in Arizona may allow him to get playing time early on. Kyler Murray will miss at least the first four games to complete his rehab from an ACL tear, while veteran backup Colt McCoy was released two weeks before the start of the regular season. The Cardinals thus appear set to play Tune and/or Joshua Dobbs for the first few games of what looks to be a rebuilding year. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS
Uninspiring rookie season
Tune completed 12 of 21 passes for 62 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions and had eight carries for 30 yards and one touchdown in seven games during the 2023 season.
ANALYSIS
In the lone start of his rookie season Week 9, the 2023 fifth-round pick led the Cardinals to their lowest offensive output (58 net yards) in any game of the campaign. In essence, Tune bridged the gap between Joshua Dobbs starting the first eight contests and Kyler Murray getting the rest of the nods after the latter completed his recovery from a torn ACL. At 6-foot-3, 220 pounds, Tune got a handful of short-yardage reps in place of the smaller Murray in the second half of the year, but with Murray's five-year extension officially kicking in for 2024, the former is unlikely to be any higher than No. 2 on Arizona's QB depth chart next season.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Might make spot start
Tune appears to be the favorite to start at quarterback for the Cardinals in Week 9 against the Browns, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Joshua Dobbs has started every game for Arizona so far this season, but coach Jonathan Gannon indicated Monday a change was coming for the 1-7 team. Kyler Murray will eventually take over at quarterback once he's deemed fully recovered from last year's knee surgery, and he could see action in Cleveland on Sunday, but he's more likely to make his season debut in Week 10. That leaves Tune, a fifth-round pick in 2023, as the most plausible candidate to get the Week 9 start. The University of Houston product has attempted only one pass in the NFL so far.
