The Los Angeles Clippers take on the Dallas Mavericks at American Airlines Center on Tuesday night.

The Clippers (12-5) are mostly living up to the preseason hype thus far, although they've notably notched just one win in five tries on the road. They'll come into Tuesday's marquee matchup with a head of steam, courtesy of a six-game winning streak. Their most recent success came against the New Orleans Pelicans, which they toppled by a 134-109 score Sunday night. Montrezl Harrell led the way with 34 points, adding 12 rebounds, two blocks and one assist. Kawhi Leonard followed with 26 points, supplementing them with six assists and four rebounds. Lou Williams followed with 19 points and also recorded four assists and three rebounds. Paul George mustered 18 points, five rebounds, three steals, two assists and one block. Patrick Beverley accounted for 10 points, seven rebounds, four assists and a pair of blocks.

The Clippers will continue to be without Landry Shamet (ankle) for Tuesday's game.

The Mavericks (11-5) have been impressive in their own right, and they'll come into Tuesday with a five-game win steak. Their most recent statement was made Sunday afternoon, when they handled the Houston Rockets by a 137-123 score at Toyota Center. Luka Doncic led the way for Dallas with a 41-point, 10-assist double-double that also included six rebounds, two steals and one block. Tim Hardaway, Jr. poured in 31 points and added five assists, four rebounds and two steals. Kristaps Porzingis supplied a 23-point, 13-rebound double-double that also included three assists, two steals and one block. Dorian Finney-Smith turned in 12 points, 10 rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block. Maxi Kleber led the bench with 11 points.

The Mavericks will list Kleber (knee) as questionable for Tuesday's game.

The teams split the four-game 2018-19 season series. Tuesday's game marks the first of three 2019-20 meetings for Los Angeles and Dallas.
