2024 Fantasy Outlook

Reese spent two seasons at Maryland to begin her college career but transferred to LSU ahead of the 2022-23 season and helped lead the Tigers to a national championship during her first year with the program. The forward was consistently dominant wherever she played, averaging double-doubles in three of her four collegiate seasons. Over her career with the Terrapins and Tigers, she averaged 18.6 points and 12.3 rebounds in 28.5 minutes per game. Reese was selected by Chicago with the No. 7 pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft and will join another rookie frontcourt star in Kamilla Cardoso, who was drafted third overall. The Sky have veterans Elizabeth Williams and Isabelle Harrison returning to the team in 2024, and they also added Diamond DeShields, Michaela Onyenwere and Brianna Turner during the offseason. While Reese showcased plenty of potential in college, it's unclear exactly what role she'll be able to carve out to begin her WNBA career. The Sky selected Reese with the No. 7 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft on Monday, Alexa Philippou of ESPN.com reports.

ANALYSIS
The Sky made a trade with the Lynx on Sunday morning to move from No. 8 to No. 7, and Chicago selected a strong talent in Reese, who was a centerpiece for LSU during its national championship run during the 2022-23 season. Reese's overall production decreased slightly during the 2023-24 campaign, averaging 18.6 points and 13.4 rebounds in 31.5 minutes per game, but she's still a dominant presence in the scoring and rebounding columns and should have plenty of opportunities to develop in the frontcourt alongside fellow rookie Kamilla Cardoso.
