The Skinny

The Sky are riding high on a five-game win streak following a seven-game losing streak, largely thanks to the return of star forward Candace Parker. the team is in great shape in terms of health at this point and have distanced recent opponents by a sizeable margin. That being said, two of those wins came against an Indiana team that has just one win all season. That doesn't stop them from being a six-point favorite over a New York squad that got back on track against the Sparks on Sunday after dropping a pair to the Aces in blowout fashion in the previous two. Thanks to the fastest two paces on the slate, this game also features the highest expected score at 169.0 points. The Liberty are getting a Sabrina Ionescu who's seemingly drawing closer to 100 percent health at this point. Betnijah Laney has been the team's most reliable scorer by a longshot, racking up 19.9 points per contest. Ionescu has been struggling with her shot but still checks in second in scoring among healthy players, notching 12.1 points per contest. On the same token, she went just 1-for-7 from beyond the arc against the Sparks on Sunday and continues to work out kinks in her shot. Parker is looking to bounce back from a three-point effort against the Sun but did average 15.7 points, 9.7 boards and 4.7 assists over the three previous tilts.

The Skinny

While the Sun sport better overall effective field goal percentage numbers both offensively and defensively, things have changed drastically since Jonquel Jones left for Eurobasket. Connecticut has lost all three of its games since then by six or more points, and Jones' continued absence leaves the Sun a 1.5-point underdog to the Wings on Tuesday. The Sun are even less appealing from a fantasy perspective when you take into account that the Wings play at the league's slowest pace, resulting in an over-under of 155.5 that checks in more than 10 points south of either of the other two contests. On the plus side from a fantasy perspective, Connecticut does tend to play its starters at a high rate, with four players (DeWanna Bonner, Jasmine Thomas, Brionna Jones and Briann January) each playing at least 34 minutes in the last two games. The minute totals should remain close to that threshold if the game stays close.

After falling to Minnesota in the first of two home contests, the Wings bounced back with a vengeance en route to a blowout 18-point victory over the Lynx on Saturday. Marina Mabrey led the way with 28 points over just 18 minutes thanks to 9-13 shooting overall and a 5-8 mark from beyond the arc. She's unlikely to maintain that pace but does have a number of 20-plus point efforts on the season and her output Sunday could warrant some additional run. Arike Ogunbowale leads the way on the season, averaging 200 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game, while Mabrey (17/5/3) and Statou Sabally (13/6/2) are the only others to average in double-figures for a slow-paced Dallas squad.

The Skinny

This game features the fantasy boom or bust potential. The most surprising part of it is that RotoWire's optimizer likes a lot of Washington's players despite being a massive 13.5-point underdog to the Storm, largely due to the expected heavy minutes volumes for the regulars in the rotation due to a large number of absences. If the Mystics keep it close, there are four or five players who could surpass the 30-minutes mark Tuesday. That breeds fantasy value even for a team that sports a slate-low 76.5 expected score. Washington s coming off of a pair of wins over the Dream and Fever but will be without a laundry list of regulars in the rotation Thursday against a team on another level from those two. Three different Washington players (Theresa Plaisance and Tina Charles on both and Shavonte Zellous on FanDuel) land among the value plays between the two sites Tuesday, but a competitive game that keeps them on the floor is the biggest caveat.

Seattle's underlying stats back up their 12-2 record on the year, sporting the second-best efficiency on both ends of the floor, the best effective field goals percentage on offense and the third-best mark on defense. The Storm also sport the best mark from deep in the league and defend the three-point line well, allowing just a 27.5 percent conversion rate. Breanna Stewart and Jewell Loyd lead the way, with Stewart consistently stuffing the stat sheet with 21.1 points, 10.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.1 steals per game, while Loyd adds 18.9 points, 4.1 boards and 4.1 assists while notching 2.1 three-point makes per game. The Mystics have struggled to defend the three-point line this season (39.2 percent for opponents), so that should add value for the pair and Sue Bird, who leads the team with 2.4 three-point makes per game and rounds out the double-digit scorers at 11.4 per contest.
