Zvonoreva has withdrawn from the Indian Wells Challenger due to a hip injury.
ANALYSIS
Zvonoreva returned in February from a lengthy absence due to a wrist injury, but it looks like she's picked up a new injury, though the exact severity of the hip injury is unknown. Hopefully her attempt to work her way back onto the main tour isn't impacted for long by this new injury, but she'll be unable to participate in the semifinal she had scheduled for Saturday, propelling Misaki Doi into the final.
