Claims Second Straight Rolex 24 Pole
IMSA
January 23, 2020
Jarvis claimed a second straight Rolex 24 at Daytona pole position for Mazda Team Joest as the Japanese manufacturer beat Acura to the top spot in qualifying. Jarvis led the way in the 15-minute prototype session with a time of 1:33.711 in the No. 77 Mazda RT24-P that he shares with Olivier Pla and Tristan Nunez, sportscar365.com reports.
ANALYSIS
It was a dominant performance by Mazda once again. Jarvis peddled the No. 77 Mazda RT24-P past the No. 6 Acura of Team Penske to top the scoring pylon. The fantastic lap fell just short of his own track-qualifying record Jarvis set just 1 year ago. It was the Englishman's fourth-career IMSA Weathertech pole. Jarvis and his co-pilots have fantastic pace for this weekend's Rolex 24 at Daytona.
