Takes advantage of mistake in win
FeatherweightUFC
March 23, 2024
Erosa defeated Ricardo Ramos via submission (guillotine choke) at 2:15 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Erosa entered having suffered back-to-back first-round knockout defeats. He appeared to be well on his way to a third in the early portion of this bout, at which point Ramos gift-wrapped Julian a victory that likely saved his job. Ricardo pushed forward on a needless double-leg takedown attempt and left his neck exposed in the process. "Juicy J" entered with a dozen submission victories in his career and took full advantage of his opponent's mistake. Erosa will be 35 years of age this coming July and has never been known for his physical gifts, so there's a real chance his time with the company could be coming to an end sooner rather than later despite this win.

Erosa is scheduled to compete against Ricardo Ramos in a featherweight fight at UFC Vegas 88 on March 23, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Erosa will try to prevent a three-fight losing streak by defeating Ramos, who could be on the verge of a losing streak himself. The former lost to Alex Caceres via head kick and punches at UFC Vegas 66 and Fernando Padilla via punches at UFC Vegas 72.
Early stoppage leads to loss

Erosa lost to Fernando Padilla via TKO (punches) at 1:41 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Erosa was crushed by Padilla, let's not kid ourselves, but the stoppage here by referee Chris Tognoni was terrible. Julian must have ate upwards of a dozen massive shots from the debuting Padilla, and each time it seemed as if he was going to go out, he snapped right back and continued to fight. The job of the referee is to protect the competitors, but Erosa appeared to still be completely functional at the time Tognoni pulled the plug. Set to turn 34 years of age in late-July and with nearly 40 professional fights under his belt, Erosa needs every win he can find. He's now lost two straight on the heels of a three-fight winning streak.
To take on debuting Padilla
FeatherweightUFC
March 20, 2023
Erosa will take on Fernando Padilla in a lightweight matchup at the UFC event scheduled for April 29 in Las Vegas, CC Legaspi of ESPN Deportes reports.
ANALYSIS
Erosa had a three-fight winning streak snapped by Alex Caceres in December and has been sidelined ever since. He'll now take on Padilla, a debuting 26-year-old prospect who most recently competed in Fury FC and LFA. Padilla has won four of his last five pro bouts going into his debut, with 12 of his 14 pro victories coming by way of stoppage. Ring rust could be a factor for Padilla, who hasn't competed at the professional level since May of 2021.
Win streak snapped at three

December 17, 2022
Erosa lost to Alex Caceres via TKO (strikes) at 3:04 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Entering having won six of his last seven fights, Erosa was unable to replicate the magic we have seen from him recently. Julian's biggest issue in the past has been durability, and it rearedits ugly head once again here. After both men spent the early portion of the fight feeling each other out, Erosa got clocked with a head kick from Caceres that essentially ended the fight right then and there. Erosa's recent strong run has been impressive, but he's now 33 years of age and possesses an extremely limited offensive arsenal, in addition to the durability issues mentioned earlier. It's far more likely than not we have already seen the best he has to offer inside the Octagon.
Taking on Caceres
FeatherweightUFC
November 2, 2022
Erosa will fight Alex Caceres in a featherweight bout at UFC Vegas 66, on Dec. 17, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Erosa has won six of his last seven fights, and he will look to improve his winning streak to four against Caceres in December. This will be no easy feat as Caceres has been just as hot, winning five of his last six fights.
