Falls as rare favorite
BantamweightUFC
January 16, 2021
Moras lost to Vanessa Melo via unanimous decision (27-30, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC on ABC 1 on Saturday in Abu Dhabi.
ANALYSIS
It was an underwhelming effort from Moras in a fight in which she somehow entered as a -180 favorite. Saturday's fight highlighted Moras' biggest issue. Her defense is no better than average, but her inability to generate any significant offense has long been her ultimate downfall. She looked better in Round 3, but the damage was already done over the first ten minutes. An alum of Season 18 of The Ultimate Fighter, Moras has fought for only the UFC since her company debut back in July 2014. It's difficult to believe considering Saturday's setback leaves her with a 3-6 record with the the company. It will be interesting to see if the UFC gives her another opportunity.

Injury moves fight to January
BantamweightUFC
November 4, 2020
Moras' scheduled bantamweight matchup against Vanessa Melo has been moved to the UFC event scheduled for Jan. 16, Raphael Marinho of Combate.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Moras has apparently suffered an unspecified injury, so she'll no longer be taking the cage for a fight originally scheduled for UFC Vegas 13 on Saturday. Despite dropping four of her last five fights in the UFC, she was set to enter this matchup as approximately a (-185) betting favorite. She would have claimed a two-inch height and reach advantages against Melo, who is 0-3 under the UFC banner. While Moras has averaged a brutally-low 2.18 significant strikes per minute during her eight-fight UFC run, Melo has absorbed an incredibly high 7.20 significant strikes per minute, so something will have to give when the two eventually face off in 2021.
Facing Melo in November
BantamweightUFC
August 13, 2020
Moras will take on Vanessa Melo at the UFC event on November 7, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
This bantamweight bout will feature two fighters who will hope to rebound after recent losses. Moras fought last May at UFC Jacksonville and dropped a decision against Sijara Eubanks.
Not competitive once again
BantamweightUFC
May 13, 2020
Moras lost to Sijara Eubanks via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 26-30) at UFC Fight Night on Wednesday in Jacksonville.
ANALYSIS
It's exceedingly rare to see a UFC fighter with a career record below .500, but that's where Moras (6-7) stands as we approach the midpoint of 2020. As has been the case more often than not during her time with the company, Moras wasn't the least bit competitive. She allowed Eubanks to beat her up on the feet in the early going before doing some damage on the mat late. Moras somehow defeated Julianna Pena back in their Invicta days but it has been a massive struggle since. She is 1-4 in her last five fights dating back to February 2018.
Bout with Eubanks rescheduled
BantamweightUFC
April 28, 2020
Moras is now in line to face Sijara Eubanks at a UFC Fight Night event on May 13 in Jacksonville, Nolan King of MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The two were originally set to face off at the originally-scheduled UFC 249 on April 18, but the event was scrapped late due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It appears matchmakers have a new date set as part of a packed UFC schedule set to take place over the next few weeks. Moras had been in line to enter the previously-scheduled matchup as a betting underdog of approximately (+260).
Fight against Eubanks officially on
BantamweightUFC
April 6, 2020
Moras is set to take on Sijara Eubanks at UFC 249 on April 18th.
ANALYSIS
This fight has been scheduled from the start, but concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic put the entire card at risk. However, the bout will go on, and Moras will look to improve on her 3-4 UFC record. Oddsmakers currently view her as an underdog, as she is looking at (+260) odds out the gate.
