Will take on Borshchev
LightweightUFC
March 1, 2024
Hooper will take on Slava Borshchev in a UFC event on May 11th, with the city yet to be decided, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Hooper has played just twice in the lightweight category, but it seems moving up a division from featherweight paid off for him, as he's looking more and more comfortable following his wins over Jordan Leavitt and Nick Fiore. He will aim to make it three wins in a row in an event that's being rumored to happen in San Diego.

Score another win at lightweight
LightweightUFC
November 18, 2023
Hooper defeated Jordan Leavitt via submission (rear-naked choke) at 2:58 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It's only been two fights, but Hooper looks far more comfortable at lightweight than at any point in his featherweight run. It's not surprising that's the case given his 6-foot-1 frame. Those long limbs served Chase exceptionally well here, as he and Leavitt traded positions on the mat before the former was able to snake around and take the latter's back and clamp on the rear-naked choke that closed the show. Hooper is about four years deep into his UFC run despite the fact he turned just 24 years of age this past September. Don't give up on the Washington native just yet.
Next fight booked

August 16, 2023
Hooper is slated to fight Jordan Leavitt at UFC Vegas 82 on Nov. 18, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Hooper, who recently emerged victorious in his lightweight debut against Nick Fiore, will face off against Jordan Leavitt this November. The 23-year-old American fighter, who is 4-3 overall during his time with the UFC, will look to continue establishing himself within the lightweight division.
Easily wins lightweight debut

Hooper defeated Nick Fiore via unanimous decision (30-26, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Hooper's first fight at lightweight resulted in his best performance in quite some time. Having displayed some notable improvements on the feet, Hooper ended the bout with a 217-58 edge in total strikes landed. That's the good news. The bad news is that Chase landed just 1-of-10 takedown attempts, while allowing Fiore to connect on 4-of-8 of his tries, something he will need to clean up moving forward. Having now alternated wins and losses in his first seven fights with the UFC, Hooper's future upside is almost entirely tied to the fact he won't be 24 years of age until this coming September.
Fiore fight scheduled
LightweightUFC
April 17, 2023
Hooper will fight Nick Fiore in a lightweight bout at UFC Fight Night 224 on May 20, according to Nolan King of USA Today.
ANALYSIS
Hooper will move up a weight class for his next fight. The 23-year-old will try to redeem himself after a quick loss he suffered to Steve Garcia at UFC Fight Night 213. Hooper's upcoming opponent is also coming off a loss, via unanimous decision against Mateusz Rebecki back in January. However, the defeat is Fiore's only blemish of his MMA career so far.
Destroyed by Steve Garcia
LightweightUFC
October 30, 2022
Hooper lost to Steve Garcia via TKO (punches) at 1:32 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
What a disaster. Entering as a -320 favorite, second-largest on the entire card, Hooper was destroyed. He was knocked down three times by Garcia in a fight which lasted 92 seconds. To say Hooper was overwhelmed here would be the understatement of the century. What's even more frustrating about his performance is the fact it came on the heels of a knockout win over Felipe Colares this past May. Time is on Hooper's side considering he turned just 23 years of age this past September, but this effort was simply indefensible.
