Shore defeated Nohelin Hernandez via submission (rear-naked choke) at 2:51 of Round 3 at UFC Copenhagen on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Even though it was Shore's debut fight, he was statistically dominant in all facets of the bout. He won the battle of significant strikes 46 to 6, and was credited with four takedowns and 11 passes. He had worn down Hernandez by the time the third round began, as he immediately shot for a successful takedown, took his back, and after a few more transitions, ended the fight. The 24-year-old prospect maintained his unblemished record in this one, and will be a fighter worth keeping an eye on moving forward. Furthermore, he'll walk away with an extra $50,000 as one of four fighters to be awarded with Performance of the Night honors.
