Gets dominated, finished in Vegas

Imadaev lost to Michel Pereira via submission (rear-naked choke) at 4:39 of Round 3 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Imadaev simply couldn't find Pereira for 15 minutes, and when he got close he would eat a hard body kick or right hand for his trouble. Imadaev's pressuring boxing game is one that had given Pereira some trouble on the regional scene, but no one bothered to tell Pereira, as the Brazillian did everything from dancing to open-hand-slapping his opponent before sinking in the choke. Imadaev came into the organization with considerable hype behind him but has now lost three in a row (two finishes). There is no doubt he is talented, but perhaps he needs to go back to the regional scene to straighten some things out. Imadaev falls to 8-3 in professional MMA as a result of the loss.

New fight in the works
WelterweightUFC
July 15, 2020
Imadaev is now expected to face Michel Pereira in a welterweight matchup at a UFC Fight Night event on Sept. 5, Brett Okamoto of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Imadaev had been schedule for a date with Laureano Staropoli at UFC 252 in August, but it appears that bout has fallen through. The 0-2 fighter will instead get a matchup with the electrifying Pereira, who also happens to have dropped his last two fights. Imadaev has superior striking volume over the short UFC sample size, but Pereira has better grappling marks to date, plus a slight height advantage. Imadaev will sport a three-inch longer reach, however.

Imadaev (8-2-0) is scheduled to face Laureano Staropoli (9-2-0) in a welterweight bout Aug. 15 at UFC 252, which will be held at a yet-to-be-determined location, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Imadaev will be returning to the Octagon for the first time since November, when he suffered a second-round knockout loss to Danny Roberts at UFC Moscow. It marked the second consecutive loss for Imadaev after an eight-win streak to begin his professional fighting career.
Can't find first UFC victory

Imadaev lost to Danny Roberts via KO (punch) at 4:54 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Moscow, Russia.
ANALYSIS
It's a crushing and frankly unacceptable loss for a fighter who needed a win in the worst way. Imadaev looked quite good prior to the stoppage. On the strength of strong takedown defense, Imadaev almost certainly won Round 1 and appeared to be in good shape in Round 2. Unfortunately, Imadaev let go a looping right hand land in the second frame that Roberts easily ducked under before smashing the Russian with a massive left hook in return. Imadaev quickly crumbled and referee Rich Mitchell immediately jumped in to waive off the fight. It was the right call. Imadaev entered the UFC in April with an undefeated (8-0) professional record. He has lost both of his fights since.
Booked for UFC Moscow

Imadaev (8-1-0) is scheduled to face Danny Roberts (16-5-0) in a welterweight fight Nov. 9 at UFC Moscow.
ANALYSIS
Imadaev will be fighting on home soil as he looks to rebound from the first loss of his MMA carer back in April, when he lost to Max Griffin in a majority decision in his promotional debut at UFC 236. He'll draw a matchup with a reeling fighter in Roberts, who has lost his last two bouts and owns a middling 5-4 record in the Octagon.
Removed from UFC Newark card

Imadaev is no longer scheduled to fight Salim Touahri at UFC Newark on Aug. 3, Nolan King of MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Imadaev was initially slated to take on Touahri, but it'll be Mickey Gall who takes Imadaev's place on the card. His last fight dates back to UFC 236, when he fell via majority decision against Max Griffin.
