Latest Fantasy Rumors
Possible trade target for Leafs
Ferraro might be pursued by the Leafs before the March 8 trade deadline, per Max Miller of The Hockey News.
ANALYSIS
Ferraro has a goal, 14 points, 88 hits and 148 blocks in 51 contests with San Jose while averaging 22:53 of ice time this season. The 25-year-old would almost certainly play a smaller role with the Maple Leafs if acquired, but he would still make Toronto a tougher squad defensively. Ferraro also comes with a reasonable $3.25 million cap hit through 2025-26, so he'd help the team beyond just this campaign.

2019
Ferraro has quietly become a key contributor for the Sharks, playing a ton of minutes (exactly 23:00 per game last season) and throwing the body around consistently. The 24-year-old has never been much of a scorer -- his career high in points is 17 -- but Ferraro added 140 hits and 151 blocks in just 63 games in 2021-22, numbers that are more than plentiful enough to give him late-round value in fantasy leagues which reward such statistics.
