2019 Fantasy Outlook
The Finnish forward wasn't much of a scorer for his Liiga team in 2016-17 or 2017-18, but last season at Bridgeport, he tallied 21 goals and 46 points in 69 games. Standing at 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds, Koivula is a dominating figure on the ice, but one of his best strengths is his good hands. When everyone is healthy, the Islanders currently don't have a spot in the lineup for Koivula, but the 20-year-old should receive an NHL opportunity if an injury arises, especially if the big club is looking for additional scoring.
