Martensson appeared in six NHL games with the then Mighty Ducks of Anaheim back in 2003-04, in which he tallied one goal and one assist. It was one of just two seasons in North America, as the center spent the bulk of his career playing in his native Sweden, including 412 contests in the SHL. Martensson was a three-time KHL All-Star and won a World Championship gold medal and two bronzes over the course of his career.
