Before diving in to Week 5, let's take a look at last week's winners in every category.

WEEK 4 RESULTS

QB Passing Yards - Jared Goff

QB Completed Passes- Jared Goff

More and more we are seeing a correlation in this category.  Where one goes, the other follows. The case was the same for Russell Wilson in Week 3.

RB Rushing Yards - Leonard Fournette

RB Receiving Yards - David Johnson

Fournette was a surprise, but Johnson has shown the ability to rack up impressive receiving totals throughout his career and he's already seen 28 targets this season.

WR Receiving Yards - Davante Adams

WR Receptions - Robert Woods

Despite Chris Godwin's breakout game, he came up just short in both categories this week. As the Packers re-emerge, we should be paying more attention to Adams as a weekly threat in these categories.

FG Made -  Wil Lutz, Josh Lambo

No big surprise here. I imagine many players found themselves with Lutz on this square.

Defense Points Allowed - Steelers/Giants

Likely the most missed square.  I don't think many people saw these coming.

OK, let's dive in again!  Time for Week 5.

Week 5 Targets

QB Passing Yards

Russell Wilson, SEA vs. LAR

Don't look now, but I think it might be another good week for Wilson, who will take on a Rams team that's allowed an average of 240 passing yards over the first month. The current O/U of 49.5 seems a bit low to me, but I think both of these QB's should be near the top.

Jameis Winston, TB at NO

This pick might seem 'out there' but the Saints rank 24th against the pass and Winston is lighting it up.  This certainly isn't s guy I would look to weekly, but Winston could end up as a beast in either category this week.

QB Passes Completed

Matt Ryan, ATL at HOU

As I said above, you should always consider a double-dip with the same QB in both of these categories, but Ryan sets up well in a past-first offense versus a defense that allows the third-most completions in the NFL.

Aaron Rodgers, GB at DAL

I didn't want to leave the QB category without giving a nod to Rodgers, who is due to hit one of these squares sooner rather than later.  Dallas is tough defensively, but with Aaron Jones as the only reliable guy in the backfield, Rodgers should be airing it up early and often to Adams and a talented supporting cast of pass-catchers.

RB Rushing Yards

Leonard Fournette, JAX at CAR

I don't think you should rely on repeat performances much in Pick8, but Fournette is in a fairly favorable spot against the Panthers.  Carolina is ninth-worst in the league against the run and are currently allowing 130 yards-per-game against opposing rushers.

Dalvin Cook, MIN at NYG

This figures to be a rough-and-tumble game for both Cook and Wayne Gallman, but Gallman is more likely to catch passes out of the backfield, so I slide over to Cook for a good rushing total on Sunday.  It's a choice with some volatility but the game script seems to favor the rushers in this contest.

RB Receiving Yards

Wayne Gallman, NYG vs. MIN

Let's go with the former Clemson Tiger, who found success relieving Saquon Barkley last week, and emerged as a favorite target for Daniel JonesSterling Shepard should get the most looks, but Gallman will be right up there.

Alvin Kamara, NO vs. TB

The Bucs give up a league-worst 12.2 yards per reception so far this season, which means Kamara should get the opportunity for some serious YAC activity if Teddy Bridgewater can get him the ball.  This pick is a little safe but it's a great situation for Kamara to dominate.

WR Receiving Yards

Mike Evans, TB at NO

It looks like Evens will be lining up opposite Marshon Lattimore this week, and it's a situation I really like - and also one of the reasons I'm placing Winston in a square.  Lattimore rebounded versus Amari Cooper last week, but he's been horrid in his other matchups. Godwin is currently stealing the show, but I like Evans in this spot.

Austin Hooper, ATL at HOU

If you have Hooper on your fantasy team like I do, you know just how dominant he's been at the position all season.  Opposing defenders stick to Julio Jones like flies and it's giving Hooper opportunities all over the field. It's always risky to pick a tight end here, but this game is all about risk.

WR Receptions

Cooper Kupp, LAR at SEA

It feel like I'll keep going with Kupp until he converts this square for me, but in my opinion, he's Goff's primary security blanket. Robert Woods had a crazy game last week ,but he's not going to get 13 receptions again.  I see more headed targets Kupp's way.

Davante Adams, GB at DAL

Dallas is a tough matchup and there currently isn't any information about who Adams might line up against, but even though Adams is on everybody's radar, they can only hope to contain him after the catch. Adams has an uncanny ability to get open, and in terms of targets, no one even comes close for the Packers.

Field Goals Made

Wil Lutz, NO vs. TB

As I scan the slate for teams that can get to the red zone but can't seem to seal the deal, I keep falling to New Orleans and for good reason.  The Saints rank 29th in Red Zone TD Scoring Percentage, so how can you not go here?

Zane Gonzalez, ARI at CIN

This might be the Cardinals' best shot at a victory all season as the Bengals look simply awful. Either way, the Cards aren't much better, but they'll probably see more red zone trips than usual. Converting them into touchdowns is another matter, as Arizona is near the bottom in this category as well.

Defense Points Allowed

PATRIOTS vs. Redskins

EAGLES vs. Jets

Just a pure educated guess based on how the league is flowing so far this year.  Without Miami on the board, Washington and the Jets seem to be prime candidates for a low-scoring day. The Pats are an obvious choice, and though I am less enthusiastic about the Eagles D, I'm even more suspicious about the Jets' ability to score.
