DraftKings LoL: Thursday LPL/LCK Breakdown

This article is part of our DraftKings League of Legends series.

Games EDT

  • 4:00 a.m DragonX vs. KT Rolster
  • 5:00 a.m. Dominus Esports vs. Top Esports
  • 6:50 a.m. LNG Esports vs. JD Gaming
  • 7:00 a.m. Team Dynamics vs GenG

DRX vs. KT

Thursday's four-game slate on DraftKings has some pretty lopsided matches in the LPL and LCK, but to kick things off we have DragonX vs KT Rolster. DRX currently sits at the top of the LCK standings, losing only a single series thus far, while they face a struggling KT Rolster looking to sneak into playoffs. Funny enough, the one loss that DRX has is to none other then KT. This is the one of the spots where a team could get an upset, but it's an uphill battle to say the least. DRX have looked solid in drafting and all-around map movement and I expect them to take this matchup a bit more seriously while getting into playoff form.

Prediction to Win: DRX 2-1

Players to Target: Everyone on DRX

DMO vs. TES

Much like our first game in the LCK, we have the first-place team in Top Esports up against an even worse off Dominus Esports who have no hope at playoffs this Summer. Even though TES did lose to Victory 5, I see TES just cleaning up this match with pure skill in every position. There isn't one lane matchup on the Rift I would have in favor of DMO here. Looking at TES this Summer, we have the main man Knight in the mid lane sitting

DMO vs.

Looking at TES this Summer, we have the main man Knight in the mid lane sitting at an impressive 146 kills this Summer along with the highest kill participation on the team with 78 percent. Knight will be pivotal in your TES stacks if you decide to go this way, but there are multiple great plays on this slate with how many top teams are on this slate. JackeyLove is also a crucial member to this team's success and it shows with him being second to Knight in both kills and kill participation. When this is all said in done it will be an easy win for TES here.

Prediction to Win: TES 2-0

TES Players to Target: Knight ($8,200) JackeyLove ($8,000), 369 ($7,200)

LNG vs. JDG

Our second LPL series of the night features yet another heavy favorite in JD Gaming going up against LNG. JDG is currently third in the LPL standings while LNG is in second to last, so in the LPL on Thursday, we have the two top-tier teams up against the bottom of the barrel. Looking at JDG, the bot lane is a great spot to target in this matchup since JDG has the better players and both members here lead the team in kills or kill participation on the team. LokeN leads the team in kills by a wide margin sitting at 122 while also having the highest kill participation with 72 percent. LvMao, who supports LokeN, sits at a 71 percent kill participation and can rack up the assists during the series if it turns bloody which I think it will.

Prediction to Win: JDG 2-0

Players to Target: LokeN ($8,200), Kanavi ($7,600), LvMao ($5,800)

 DYN vs. GEN

Our last series of the morning features the LCK in yet another heavily favored match with Gen.G taking on Team Dynamics. This is another spot where an upset could happen, but I think it's very unlikely if GenG keep up the great drafting and aggression in mid to late game where they just out perform the other teams in late fights. Team Dynamics could take one game here, but winning the series is asking a lot from them. Ruler is the kill leader not only on DRX, but the entire LCK at the moment with 122 kills and I expect him to get more Thursday. If you want to get away from all the ADC's you can look at taking some of the mid laners like Bdd who has also been out performing the rest of the team with (86) kills and sits at a 66-kill participation.

Prediction to Win: GEN 2-1

Players to Target: Bdd ($7,600), Ruler ($7,600) Team GEN ($5,400)
