Liquid (1-0) vs. MiBR (1-0)

Liquid can breathe a sigh of relief after dispatching of a Bad News Bears side that made things way too close for comfort in their opening match. Liquid's trio of EliGE, NAF and Twistzz all had solid games, and they will be the ones to target against MiBR. Liquid made short work of MiBR in their most recent outing in ESL Pro League, winning Overpass and Dust2 with lopsided scorelines, and NAF and EliGE were unsurprisingly at the top of the scoreboard. It is noteworthy that nitr0 has posted decent numbers against MiBR in their two recent meetings, and while nitr0 will generally be a pretty poor pick, this is a spot where he may be considered due to the low pricing.

MiBR are coming off a 2–0 victory against Yeah, and the trio of FalleN, kNgV and fer all delivered. The maps definitely favored FalleN and kNgV in particular, and they both had incredible showings against a very weak Yeah side. Both kNgV and fer are priced in the $6,000 range, and they are well worth considering because they allow you to roster some of the best players on the slate.

  • Liquid Players to Target: EliGE ($9,800), NAF ($8,800), Twistzz ($7,400)
  • MiBR Players to Target: kNgV ($6,000), fer ($6,800), FalleN ($8,000)

Envy (0-1) vs. Yeah (0-1)

After losing to FURIA, Envy will have a great chance at bouncing back with a win against one of the weakest teams in the tournament. These two teams faced off in the minor qualifiers, and Calyx had a great showing, posting 43 kills, 11 assists and a plus-10 K/D differential in a 2–0 victory. He certainly has the potential to repeat that feat, but you will have to pay up significantly if you want to roster him. MICHU is good value at a lower salary, and against this type of competition, both Nifty and moose need to be considered, as well.

If you want to target a potential upset, both dumau and RCF have proven that they are the best players on this Yeah roster.

  • Envy Players to Target: Calyx ($10,200), MICHU ($8,400)
  • Yeah Players to Target: dumau ($7,800), RCF ($6,600)

FURIA (1-0) vs. Bad News Bears (0-1)

FURIA are coming off a high scoring game against Envy, and pretty much everyone but VINI had a great game. KSCERATO remains the top guy on FURIA, but with such tight pricing, yuurih may prove to be the better play at $8,200.

While Bad News Bears deserve to be the underdog in this matchup, they have proven that they can put up a fight. dapr continues to put up points despite his team's struggles, posting 71 kills, 20 assists with a plus-13 K/D differential across three maps against Team Liquid, and he remains the only guy who I would look to target in difficult matchups.

  • FURIA Players to Target: yuurih ($8,200), KSCERATO ($9,400), HEN1 ($9,000)
  • Bad News Bears Players to Target: dapr ($6,400)
