Matthews has decided to transfer to Auburn after being dismissed from Georgia's program by head coach Mark Richt on June 3, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.

Matthews announced his decision via Twitter on Saturday. He had been part of a group of Georgia players who were arrested for theft-by-deception charges in March. In May, Matthews caused a classroom disruption that ended with him being asked to leave the class, and that contributed to Richt’s decision to dismiss Matthews from the team. Matthews will join Nick Marshall as former Georgia players currently on Auburn’s roster.
