Tops 100 yards passing to open season
September 2, 2018
Marshall completed 9-of-18 passes for 104 yards and touchdown Saturday against Alcorn State, adding 77 yards and a touchdown on nine rushes.
ANALYSIS
Marshall was picked off once, but topped 100 yards passing after doing so just four times a year ago. It's a stable yet unspectacular debut for the senior, but his owners likely appreciate the lack of hits he took in a blowout contest. Marshall's number will undoubtedly be called more frequently in Week 2 at USF.

2016 Fantasy Outlook
Somewhat quietly and surprisingly, Marshall led the Jackets in rushing as a freshman last season with 654 yards, adding four touchdowns. While the Jackets must replace Patrick Skov's downhill style, Marshall represents more of a quick hitting, home run threat from the B-Back position than a bruising, volume rusher. The Jackets likely will welcome Quaide Weimerskirch, though, after he missed last year with an injury. It's going to result in more defined roles for all B-Back options, but the bottom line is screaming committee versus featured back. Matching his 2015 totals may be Marshall's ceiling as a result.
