Alton McCaskill

Running BackRB
2023 Fantasy Outlook
If McCaskill can return to his 2021 form prior to his ACL injury, he’s bound to figure into Colorado’s rushing attack. In his freshman season, McCaskill rushed for 961 yards and 16 touchdowns with Houston, but the ACL tear stopped his college career short. The Cougars grabbed Virginia running back Tony Mathis from the transfer portal, forcing McCaskill to seek greener pastures. His production with Colorado is far from certain, however. Coach Deion Sanders’ running back room is crowded, with Alex Fontenot and Anthony Hankerson returning to the team. McCaskill’s overall health and fall camp success will determine his impact. Taking part in spring ball
March 18, 2024
McCaskill (undisclosed, redshirt) was spotted participating in spring practice Monday, Well Off Media reports.
ANALYSIS
McCaskill missed most of the 2023 season due to injury and eventually elected to redshirt, preserving his status as a sophomore for the 2024 campaign. McCaskill posted huge numbers in his lone season at Houston in 2021, racking up 189 carries for 961 yards and 16 touchdowns, but he's missed most of the last two seasons due to injury. He'll aim to get back on track with the Buffs in 2024.
