Saxton announced Dec. 4 via his personal Twitter account that he transferred from Texas to FCS Stephen F. Austin.
ANALYSIS
Though he had a number of other FBS scholarship offers on the table as a recruit from the 2019 cycle, Saxton turned those opportunities to walk on at Texas, where his grandfather was an All-American running back. The younger Saxton never saw the field with the Longhorns and will now head to the Stephen F. Austin in search of playing time. He'll be able to compete immediately for the Lumberjacks with four years of eligibility to go.
