Ball will miss the entire 2020 season after tearing his ACL in practice last week, Kevin Brockway of The Anderson Herald Bulletin reports.

Ball was slated to be the Hoosiers' top option at the "husky" spot on defense, a hybrid linebacker/safety position. However, with the fifth-year senior now sidelined for the upcoming campaign, the husky role will likely fall to Bryant Fitzgerald. Ball will retain the option of returning to Indiana for a sixth and final season in 2021, if he so chooses.
