Past Fantasy Outlooks

2021
2020
Kansas State has an experienced receiver room for the 2022 season with Knowles, Phillip Brooks and Kade Warner. Knowles has dealt with some injuries the past two seasons, however, was able to manage 30 catches for 478 yards and four touchdowns on 45 targets last year. The Wildcats welcome in Nebraska transfer Adrian Martinez at quarterback and have one of the best running backs in the country in Deuce Vaughn. This should mean that Knowles can have his best year from a production standpoint.
Knowles enters his second consecutive season as the top receiver on the depth chart. This designation didn't translate to producton in 2020 as he logged just 13 catches for 204 yards and three touchdowns on 29 targets. The primary reason for the absense of targets was quarterback Skylar Thompson going down with a season-ending shoulder injury in the Wildcats' third game of the season. With Thompson back for a rare sixth season, Knowles prospectus for the 2021 season should be better as he battles with Chabastin Taylor and Phillip Brooks for targets. With that said, Kansas State does prefer to run the ball and has a talented running back in Deuce Vaughn.
Knowles enters the 2020 season as the Wildcats number one receiver with the departure of Dalton Schoen, however, that's not saying a ton as Kansas State runs the ball a lot more than they throw the ball. Knowles had 27 grabs for 397 yards and three touchdowns on 47 targets last season. His volume will also be limited by the fact that quarterback Skylar Thompson prefers to run the ball and how Kansas State favors controlling the clock. Nonetheless, if Kansas State does want to be a little more dynamic on the offensive end in 2020, Knowles will be the guy to help them do that.
