Sokol is expected to be Michigan State's starting tight end, Matt Charboneau of The Detroit News reports.
ANALYSIS
With the departure of one of the program's best ever tight ends in Josiah Price, Sokol has a chance to fill a much larger role in 2017. Price was heavily featured in the Spartans offense in 2016, catching 38-of-49 targets for 387 yards and five scores. While it remains to be seen whether Sokol will immediately see that type of volume as a newly minted starter, Michigan State's use of the tight end as a weapon in the passing game should afford Sokol plenty of looks this season.
