Exploring exit from MTSU
Bruce is listed in the NCAA's transfer portal and appears to be moving on from Middle Tennessee State, 247Sports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
A consensus three-star recruit from the Class of 2015, Bruce enrolled at Tennessee out of high school before moving on to Middle Tennessee State after only a few months in Knoxville. He was a redshirt senior at Middle Tennessee State last fall, but because he missed all but one game of the 2016 season due to a leg injury, Bruce will qualify for a sixth year of eligibility in 2020. Rather than trying to find snaps in a crowded Blue Raiders receiver room, Bruce will presumably look to land with another school that can offer him a better path to playing time. During his four active seasons at Middle Tennessee State, Bruce caught 19 passes for 184 yards and a touchdown and added 45 carries for 206 yards and another score.
