2019 Fantasy Outlook
Franks certainly improved in his second season under center for the Gators, throwing for almost 2,500 yards while compiling a 24:6 TD:INT. He also showed much more confidence in his running ability, amassing 350 more yards on the ground along with seven scores. The Gators will return virtually all of their receivers from a season ago, which should only further Franks' comfort in the offense of coach Dan Mullen. Lastly, Franks torched his own ferocious defense in the spring game. Franks has the chance to explode this season, assuming he continues this upward trend. Read Past Outlooks
Moving on to Arkansas
Ankle
January 20, 2020
Franks (ankle) announced Monday that he will join Arkansas as a graduate transfer for the 2020 season, Danny West of 247Sports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
After revealing his plans to leave Florida in early December, Franks has found a new home within the SEC seven weeks later. He'll enroll at Arkansas right away and will be eligible to take part in spring drills for the Razorbacks, assuming he's made a full recovery from the season-ending surgery he required in September for a dislocated and fractured right ankle. A physical marvel at 6-foot-6 and 238 pounds, Franks performed unevenly during his four-year career at Florida, though he accounted for 31 touchdowns over his 13 outings in 2018. He immediately becomes the top candidate to start for Arkansas, which returns only three scholarship quarterbacks this fall, all of whom have little collegiate experience.
