CFB Waiver Wire: Players to Pick Up Week 10

This article is part of our CFB Waiver Wire series.

AMERICAN ATHLETIC

D'Angelo Brewer, RB, Tulsa: Brewer may have split carries in his return from a knee injury, but he was the much more effective runner against SMU, rushing for 84 more yards than his backfield counterpart, Zack Langer. Tulsa faces UCF's 94th-ranked rush defense this week.

Rodney Adams, WR, USF:
Adams is big-play threat for the Bulls, and while his lack of volume makes him a risky play, South Florida quarterback Quinton Flowers will take a few shots in Adam's direction when he looks to take the pressure off the Bull's ground game.

ACC

Jamari Staples, WR, Louisville: Staples broke out last week with a 10-catch performance against Wake Forest, but his numbers have been trending upward since he returned to the playing field for the first time this season four games ago. This week he faces Syracuse's 91st-ranked pass defense.

Jeremy Smith, RB, Louisville:
With dual-threat quarterback Lamar Jackson hampered by an injury, Louisville will have to turn to its running backs to carry the rushing load until he's 100 percent healthy. Former starting back, Brandon Radcliff, didn't appear in last week's game against Wake Forest, leaving the window open for Smith to lay claim to the top job. He led the team in rushing in last week's game.

He led the team in rushing in last week's game.

BIG 12

Jarrett Stidham, QB, Baylor: The freshman takes the reigns of one of the top offenses in the country and will be surrounded by talented players. He may not be able to replicate Seth Russell's astronomical numbers, but he shouldn't have trouble filling in. Baylor had a bye last week to give him extra time to prepare for his first start, which comes against a Kansas State team ranked 110th against the pass.

James Washington, WR, Oklahoma State:
Washington has emerged in October, topping 100 yards receiving in three of his four games while scoring four touchdowns. Oklahoma State plays TCU this week in a battle between two high-powered offenses, which could mean a busy day for the Cowboys' big-play receiving threat.

Big Ten

Matt VandeBerg, WR, Iowa: VandeBerg may have just one game with more than 100 receiving yards this season, but he has recorded at least six receptions in five games. He has 26 more receptions than the next Iowa receiver, and the Hawkeyes take on Indiana's 127th-ranked pass defense this week.

Alex Erickson, WR, Wisconsin:
Erickson was mentioned last week, but I want to emphasize him one more time while you still have a chance to scoop him up. He managed six receptions for 103 yards and one touchdown despite the return of Corey Clement and the Badgers' running game. This week he gets Maryland's 98th-ranked passing defense.

C-USA:

Alex McGough, QB, FIU: McGough is just one week removed from a three-touchdown, 390-yard performance against Old Dominion and has scored a rushing touchdown in each of his last three games. This week, he gets a Charlotte defense that just surrendered 486 yards to Marshall's Chase Litton, a QB who had only thrown for more than 200 yards twice this season.

Davonte Allen, WR, Marshall:
Marshall hadn't been known for its passing attack this season before exploding for 494 yards against Charlotte last week. A big part of that was Allen, who led the way with 12 receptions for 232 yards against the 49ers. While that level of production isn't likely repeatable, Allen could still be in for a strong week against a Middle Tennessee defense ranked 104th in the nation in yards allowed.

MAC

Jamauri Bogan, RB, Western Michigan: Bogan has been a touchdown machine recently, racking up seven scores in his last three games. While he'll split carries next week, Ball State has afforded opponents plenty of scoring opportunities this season, allowing more than 31 points per game.

Imani Davis, WR, Akron:
Davis has yet to tally a 100-yard receiving game this season, but he's come close with at least 90 yards in three of his last four games. This week he faces a UMass team ranked 112th in passing yards allowed.

MOUNTAIN WEST

Jacobi Owens, RB, Air Force: With D.J. Johnson and Shayne Davern missing the last two games with injuries, Owens has seen an uptick in action, recording 53 carries in his last two games. If either are ruled out for next week's game against Army, it could be another busy day for Owens, who has stepped up to the plate in his increased role by notching 137 yards in each of the last two contests.

Jasen Oden Jr., RB, Colorado State:
Oden has been relatively mediocre since his 30-carry, 143-yard performance against UTSA in September, but he did manage 89 yards and two touchdowns on just 11 carries two weeks ago and faces a Wyoming defense this week that allows 222 yards per game on the ground.

PAC-12

Kevin Hogan, QB, Stanford: Hogan hasn't exactly lit up the score sheet this season, but he has thrown multiple touchdowns in all but two of games. Last week he didn't do much with his arm, throwing for just 86 yards, but he made up for it with his legs, rushing for a career-high 112 yards and two touchdowns. That mark doesn't look repeatable for the senior, but he could be a solid bye-week fill-in with a game against Colorado on deck.

Bryce Treggs, WR, Cal:
California will try to end its three-game slide against Oregon this weekend. The Ducks allow the third-most passing yards in the nation and Cal has the 12th-best passing offense. It should mean big things for Treggs, despite being a second option in the passing attack behind Kenny Lawler.

SEC

Kyler Murray, QB, Texas A&M: Murray was very impressive in his first start, leading the Aggies to a 35-28 win by completing 71.4 percent of his passes and rushing for 156 yards. Murray has a favorable schedule down the stretch, with his next two games coming against Auburn (107th in total defense) and FCS Western Carolina.

Brandon Wilds, RB, South Carolina:
Wilds missed three games this season with bruised ribs but has been solid since his return, topping 100 yards in both games. He should see another heavy workload this week against a Tennessee team allowing more than 163.1 yards per game on the ground.

Sun Belt

Keith Rucker, TE, Georgia State: Rucker has been dealing with a hamstring injury these last few weeks, which forced him to miss time earlier this season. Despite his questionable status entering last week, he turned in his best game of the season, hauling in two touchdowns against Arkansas State last week.

Tyreis Thomas, Xavier Johnson, RB, South Alabama:
Thomas has seen more carries in recent weeks than Johnson, but Johnson has proven to be the more explosive back this season. Both could be in for a big day against an Idaho team that has trouble defending the run.
