Rainey (undisclosed) signed a one-year contract with the Lions on Tuesday, CFL.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
After a one-year stopover in Toronto last season, Rainey will be back in British Columbia for his second stint with the Lions after he was a member of the squad from 2015 through 2018. The speedy 31-year-old will add depth in the backfield, but his biggest impact will come on special teams. Rainey ranked second in the CFL in 2019 with 1,196 kickoff return yards, and he also took back 16 punts for 596 yards and a touchdown. He's expected to be back to full health for the start of the 2020 season.
