The Stampeders selected
Pinto in the second round of the 2020 CFL Draft, 12th overall.
Pinto joins a Stampeders' receiver corps that's fairly unproven behind Josh Huff
and Hergy Mayala
, positioning him to compete for an immediate starting role for 2020. An incident after the final regular-season game of 2018 resulted in Pinto receiving a two-year ban from participation in U Sports activities, and forced him to defer from entering the CFL draft in 2019, but Calgary's investment of second-round capital could be a hint that the team doesn't assign significant off-field concerns to the wideout.
