Shaquille Cooper
Running BackRB
Positioned for Week 18 start
RBEdmonton
October 9, 2019
Cooper is slated to start at running back for Edmonton in Saturday's game against BC, Gerry Moddejonge of the Edmonton Sun reports.
ANALYSIS
The Eskimos moved Cooper to their practice squad earlier this month, but he'll be called up and dress for the third time this season in Week 18. With top back C.J. Gable (knee) sitting out, Cooper will leapfrog Christion Jones on the depth chart and pick up his second start of the campaign. Cooper posted big numbers in his previous turn as the Eskimos' top back in Week 7 versus Toronto, amassing 128 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries while nabbing five of six targets for another 48 yards.
