Stroud announced Thursday via his personal Twitter account that he will transfer to Fresno State.
Under normal circumstances, Stroud would have to sit out the 2020-21 since he's moving from one Division I school (UTEP) to another, but because Fresno is his hometown, he may have a good case for earning a waiver for immediate eligibility amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Whenever Stroud is cleared to play, the 6-foot-5 combo guard will have three years of eligibility remaining. As a true freshman for UTEP last season, Stroud appeared in 24 games (two starts) and averaged 4.3 points and 1.0 rebound in 9.5 minutes.
