Johnson committed May 22 to Illinois-Chicago, joining the program as a transfer from JUCO program John Logan Community College, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Johnson began his career at Murray State in 2018-19, appearing in 19 games for the Racers before dropping down to the JUCO ranks ahead of the 2019-20 campaign. He started in every game for John Logan as a sophomore, averaging 9.3 points per contest while shooting 42 percent from distance. Johnson is able to compete right away for Illinois-Chicago with two years of eligibility remaining.
