Curry's entry into the portal temporarily opens up a scholarship for Mississippi, though the door isn't necessarily closed on him returning to the Rebels in the event he doesn't like his options elsewhere and the Ole Miss coaching staff isn't able to fill his spot. The 6-foot-11 big man took a redshirt in his first season on campus in 2018-19 before appearing in 17 games during the past campaign, averaging 0.7 points and 0.7 boards in 4.6 minutes. Unless granted a waiver by the NCAA, Curry would likely be forced to sit out the 2020-21 season if he moves to another Division I program.
