Cleared to play in 2019-20
CSouth Dakota
October 9, 2019
South Dakota coach Todd Lee said Tuesday that Heiman was granted a waiver from the NCAA that will allow him to compete immediately for the Coyotes, Jeff Goodman of WatchStadium.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The Nebraska transfer will retain three years of eligibility after leaving the Cornhuskers shortly after his freshman season concluded. Heiman suited up in 30 games for Nebraska in 2018-19, averaging 1.8 points and 1.7 rebounds in 8.5 minutes per contest. The 6-foot-11 center should have a far greater chance to find minutes while taking on a lower level of competition at South Dakota.
