Martin announced Tuesday via his personal Twitter account that he'll transfer to Connecticut.
ANALYSIS
Martin drew interest from more than 15 high-major programs after leaving Rhode Island and entering the transfer portal March 25, with Connecticut ultimately winning out over Georgia, Mississippi, Oregon and Seton Hall to secure his services, per Evan Daniels of 247Sports.com reports. Unless he's granted a waiver by the NCAA, Martin will be forced to wait until the 2020-21 season to make his UConn debut as a redshirt junior. The 6-foot-6 forward averaged 12.8 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.5 three-pointers, 1.1 assists and 1.1 steals in 34.2 minutes per game for Rhode Island in 2019-20.
