April 17, 2020
Bolden announced Friday that he'll join Butler as a graduate transfer for the 2020-21 season, Jeff Goodman of WatchStadium.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Bolden will head to the third Division I program of his career, as he previously signed with George Washington out of high school before spending the past two seasons at South Carolina. After sitting out the 2018-19 season in compliance with NCAA transfer rules, Bolden opened the past campaign as a starter for the Gamecocks but saw his role wane as the year unfolded. He ultimately finished the season with averages of 8.5 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.6 three-pointers and 1.4 assists in 21.4 minutes per game. The 6-foot-3 Bolden will be able to compete right away for the Bulldogs and could be the favorite to replace the graduating Kamar Baldwin as Butler's starting shooting guard.
