Personal Bio/PreCareer Summary

Victor Lamar Law was born in 1995 in Chicago, Illinois. He is the son of Victor Law and Bridgett Anthony. Law's father played college basketball at Western Illinois. His sister, Simone, also played collegiate basketball in the Chicago area. She was a first-team All-Horizon League selection in 2013 at Loyola University Chicago. Law played his high school ball at St. Rita of Cascia, also in Chicago. As a senior, the wing led St. Rita to a Chicago Catholic League South Division title and 4A regional title. Law then choose to attend Northwestern, where he led the Wildcats to their first ever NCAA Tournament appearance. At NU, Law majored in Learning and Organizational Change. He was also named to the Academic All-Big Ten team in 2018 and 2019. From 2014 to 2019, Vic Law attended Northwestern University and earned both an undergraduate and master's degree. Law appeared in all 36 games as a freshman (2014-15), with 19 starts. While the athletic wing missed the 2015-16 season due to a torn labrum in his left shoulder, Law returned fully healthy for the 2016-17 season and started all 36 games for the Wildcats, making the Big Ten All-Defensive team in the process. More importantly, Law led the Wildcats to their first ever NCAA Tournament (2017). Law and the Cats defeated Vanderbilt in the first round of the tourney, and, despite Law's 18 points and four three-pointers, lost to Gonzaga in the second round. Law and his Northwestern teammates then played the 2017-18 season at the off-campus Allstate Arena while NU's Welsh-Ryan Arena underwent a $110 million renovation. Law appeared and started in 27 games that season, averaging 12.0 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.9 three pointers per game. The Wildcats returned to Welsh-Ryan Arena for Law's final season (2018-19). Law started all 30 games for NU and finished the year posting per-game averages of 15.0 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.0 steal, 1.0 block and 1.9 three-pointers per contest. He went undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft but signed with the Orlando Magic ahead of the franchise's training camp.

The 24-year-old was with the Magic on a two-way deal last season and appeared in eight games, averaging 1.9 points in 7.8 minutes. Law went unselected during the 2019 NBA Draft before latching on with Orlando as a UDFA.
