A rookie out of Saint Joseph's, Brown made his NBA debut for the Hawks on Nov. 6, finishing with two points and one rebound in a loss to the Bulls. He appeared in three consecutive games from Nov. 14 to Nov. 17, logging 13 total minutes off the bench and scoring a combined five points. In a loss to the Nets on Jan. 12, Brown saw a career-high 11 minutes and finished with six points, one rebound, one assist and one block, while shooting 2-of-7 from the field. He entered the All-Star break with totals of 20 points, four rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks in 10 appearances. Brown also appeared in 29 games for the College Park Skyhawks of the G League. In 33.2 minutes per game, Brown averaged 17.3 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.2 blocks.
