Wilson spent a significant amount of time during his rookie season in the G League, but he was asked to play a bigger role for the Bucks during the 2018-19 season. He essentially set career highs across the board, averaging 5.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 18.4 minutes across his 48 appearances. He also shot 41.4 percent from the field, 36.2 percent from three and 55.3 percent from the free-throw line. During his three starts, his averaged 11.7 points, 10.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists. Wilson's best game of the season occurred during an 11-point loss to the Thunder on Apr. 10, when he posted 18 points, 17 rebounds, four assists and one steal across 47 minutes. The points and rebounds represented career highs. Wilson was also a part of a very successful five-man lineup containing himself, Eric Bledsoe, Sterling Brown, Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez. That group was plus-30.9 points per 100 possessions. Wilson's playing time also extended into the postseason. Following three years at Michigan, Wilson was drafted by the Bucks with the 17th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. He appeared in 22 games with the Bucks, averaging 1.0 point across 3.2 minutes per game. His best performance was Feb. 1 during a 19-point loss to the Timberwolves. In four minutes, Wilson posted five points (2-2 FG, 1-1 3Pt) and one rebound. Ultimately, Wilson spent most of his time in the G League. With the Wisconsin Herd, he played 32.5 minutes per game in 11 appearances, averaging 15.9 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists. He also shot 47.1 percent from the field, 34.0 percent from three and didn't miss any of his 11 free-throw attempts. Arguably his best G League performance occurred Dec. 1 in a win over the Iowa Wolves. Wilson played 29 minutes and accumulated 24 points (9-15 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four rebounds, four assists and three steals. It was one of his three games with at least 20 points.
