The 2018-19 season marked Collins' second in the NBA. He set per-game career highs in minutes (17.6), points (6.6) and rebounds (4.2). He also managed career highs in efficiency from all areas of the court, sporting a 47.3 field-goal percentage, 33.1 three-point percentage and 74.6 free-throw percentage. Collins recorded a career-high six blocks during a 128-119 victory over the Lakers on Oct. 18. He scored a career-high 18 points during a 116-89 victory over the Grizzlies on Apr. 3. October was Collins' best month of the season, and he averaged 11.1 points on 65.1 percent shooting, 4.7 rebounds, 2.0 blocks and 1.4 assists in 21.9 minutes during the seven games. He also had arguably the best game of his career Oct. 25 during a 128-114 win over the Magic. Collins posted 17 points without missing any shots, plus six rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block across 18 minutes. The Trail Blazers made it to the Western Conference Finals, and Collins appeared in 16 games, averaging 6.8 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.4 blocks. His best postseason performance was during a 11-point win over the Nuggets, posting 14 points, five blocks, four rebounds, one assist and one steal in 29 minutes.2017
Collins, the 10th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, served as a reserve post player for the Trail Blazers in his rookie campaign. He appeared in 66 games, picking up one start, and averaged 15.8 minutes per contest. The Gonzaga product finished with 4.4 points, 3.3 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game. Known as a capable floor spacer in college, Collins continued to stretch the floor in the pros, averaging 1.7 three-point attempts per game and shooting 31.0 percent from beyond the arc. He shot 45.5 percent from two-point range and 64.3 percent from the free-throw line. Collins scored a season-high 15 points against the Clippers on March 30, shooting 7-of-10 in that contest. He scored 12 points in two other games, shooting an effective 5-of-6 from the field in both outings. The 6-foot-11 Collins twice recorded 10 rebounds in a game, and he recorded a season-high three blocks against Houston on Dec. 9. His personal best in steals was also three, which he posted Dec. 11 against Golden State.
