Heat Defeat Warriors, 113-101
The Miami Heat defeated the host Golden State Warriors, 113-101, at Chase Center on Monday.

While Golden State grabbed the first lead in this game, that was the only lead they had. In fact, the Heat rode a 38-23 second quarter to a 19-point halftime lead and held the lead for the final three quarters. Ball movement was the difference, with Miami recording 36 assists to 11 turnovers and Golden State committing 16 turnovers to just 23 assists. That allowed the Heat to shoot 49 percent from the field while holding the Warriors to just 39 percent shooting. In addition, Miami took 87 shots to Golden State's 77.

The Heat (35-18) were led by Jimmy Butler, who collected 21 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and four steals. Duncan Robinson amassed 17 points and three assists. Bam Adebayo collected 13 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists and two steals. Jae Crowder led the bench with 21 points, eight rebounds and three steals while Kelly Olynyk generated 12 points, six rebounds and 11 assists.

The Warriors (12-42) were led by Damion Lee and his 26 points. Andrew Wiggins totaled 18 points, two rebounds and four assists. Marquese Chriss amassed 17 points, nine rebounds and two steals. Draymond Green accumulated five points, nine rebounds and nine assists while Jordan Poole led the bench with 12 points, six rebounds and two assists.

Both teams return to action on Wednesday, with Miami staying on the road to face the Utah Jazz and Golden State remaining home to play the Phoenix Suns.
