Grizzlies and Celtics Meet for Interconference Clash
The Memphis Grizzlies take on the Boston Celtics at TD Garden on Wednesday night.

The Grizzlies (20-23) had recently put together a season-best seven-game winning streak that offered the potential to turn their season around, but they saw that stretch of victories snapped by the New Orleans Pelicans, 126-116, on Monday. Dillon Brooks led the way for Memphis with 31 points, adding nine rebounds, four assists and two steals. Jaren Jackson, Jr. pitched in 19 points, six boards, one assist and two blocks. Ja Morant followed with 16 points, nine assists, three rebounds and one steal. Jonas Valanciunas furnished 14 points, 11 boards, one assist and two steals. De'Anthony Melton poured in 10 points.

The Grizzlies will be without Bruno Caboclo (knee) and Andre Iguodala (team decision) for Wednesday's game.

The Celtics (28-14) entered a Monday showdown against the Los Angeles Lakers reeling from a three-game losing streak, but they righted their ship in sensational fashion by lambasting LeBron James and company, 139-107. Jayson Tatum paced the Celtics with 27 points, complementing them with five boards, three assists and one steal. Kemba Walker and Jaylen Brown generated matching 20-point, four-rebound tallies while dishing out seven and six assists, respectively. Enes Kanter supplied an 18-point, 11-rebound double-double. Gordon Hayward went for 16 points, six rebounds and five assists.

The Celtics will list Walker (knee) as probable for Wednesday's contest, while Brown (ankle) will carry a questionable tag.

Wednesday's game marks the first of two meetings between the teams this season. The Celtics swept the two-game 2018-19 season series from the Grizzlies.
