Closer Watch

Athletics -- Sean Doolittle will be activated from the disabled list Tuesday, so the heat is officially on Tyler Clippard now Clippard's been inconsistent, and Doolittle was expected to be the closer throughout the offseason and spring, so it's hard to think that Clippard will be able to hold him off.

Rangers -- Shawn Tolleson is doing his level best to put his stamp on this job, collecting saves in four straight appearances spanning six days. It's awfully hard to deny what he's done in the early going this year, and it looks like he has a decent amount of security as the Rangers' closer right now.

Recommended Pickup
Michael Bolsinger, SP, LAD -- In the space of just four starts, Bolsinger has nailed down a position in the Los Angeles rotation, having pitched to an incredible 0.71 ERA, 0.79 WHIP and 22:6 K:BB in 25.3 innings. He's been one of the surprises of the year, but with the step he's taken forward in Triple-A, it could be that the 27-year-old Bolsinger has found a new gear after failing to stick with Arizona last year. At minimum, he offers plenty of streaming upside, and with the solid lines he's been delivering while aces across baseball have been getting blown up, fantasy owners in a wide variety of leagues should look into Bolsinger's services.

Other Recent Recommendations:Josh Hamilton, Curtis Granderson, Rusney Castillo, Chris Colabello, Brad Miller
